Floral

Wedding flower bouquets should compliment your dress, your size and body shape as well as help set the tone for your celebration. You should be aware that the costs of a floral designer varies in your choices, i.e. flowers that are not in season at the time of year will have to be specially brought in from another region for you will add costs to your floral design total. You should be open to the ideas of your florist designer and coordinator to help keep you in budget. Color plays a large part in your wedding flower bouquet, centerpiece and decor choices. Although the sky is the limit now, brides choose anything from a single bloom to a bouquet that is all in color and having their bridesmaids carry white flowers. The color from the flowers adds a great contrast to the bridal gown, and you can add glitz and glamour from any jewels you choose to tie the two together. That is right, diamonds and broaches are not just for the neck, ears, and hair anymore. A new sparkling trend is to add these beautiful and dazzling touches to the bridal bouquet as adornments. A piece of glittering jewelry adds elegance and style to your already beautiful bouquet. A family heir loomed broach adds something old and something bold to your ensemble. With these kinds of bridal bouquet adornments, floral designers can help you create a bouquet that's truly one-of-a-kind! Be sure though that whatever jewels you choose for your bouquet are also in your gown.

Bouquet Styles

Biedermeier

Often bound by a lace or ivy collar, the Biedermeier has a number of complementary flowers tightly bound into a compact ball, usually with an over sized blossom at the center. Similar to the below picture.

Cascade

Long-stemmed flowers are combined with flowing ivy and other greenery for a cascading effect down the front of your gown.

Crescent

Similar to a cascade, it's a curved bouquet designed to nestle in your arm. Neither cascades or crescents currently are as popular as clutch bouquets.

Nosegays

A variety of flowers and greenery are tied into a tight, round bunch with ribbon, lace or strands of crystal and pearls around the stems.

Spray

A few blossoms are fashioned together in a triangular shape and bound by ribbon or decorative cord.

The flowers you select for your event or wedding floral design and decorations set a tone and style to your celebration. They support your chosen theme, reflect the color scheme and create a consistent ambience for events throughout the day. When meeting with your floral designer bring pictures of the bridal gown and any jewels, diamonds, pearls, etc. you want to bring with to our first visit especially if you have chosen to add jewels to your bouquet and flowers.

It is important to have the dress picked out before you decide upon the final design of your bouquet and arrangements. You want the them to compliment each other. If you are picking pearl drops for the arrangements and the dress has rhinestones, it won't look right. The dress and the arrangements should both have pearls. The same with rhinestones and beads.
